A virtual private network (VPN) provides an encrypted communications channel that is required to access Michigan Medicine resources like email, file servers, and more from a remote location. VPN is limited to users with Michigan Medicine Level-2 credentials or an "active Michigan Medicine VPN account", and are enrolled in Duo Two-Factor Security . Once this VPN account is terminated, the VPN user will need to reapply for access by submitting a new form. VPN access is only to be used for the communicated DOT business and upon such a time that the project is completed and/or the VPN access is not needed, I will communicate this to the DOT Project Manager in order to terminate access. All new users and those who have not accessed the VPN service since August 2015 will need to click on "Request Service" on the right hand side. The Cisco AnyConnect Mobility Client is available on Windows 7/8/10 and Mac OSX 10.8 and higher which is used to connect to campus network drives and use remote desktop.
